Unit Weekly News for 27 Nov - 3 Dec

Parents and Guardians,

We hope you had an enjoyable Thanksgiving holiday. The next three weeks will be busy, starting off with the in-school viewing of Major Payne during 3d and 4th period on Monday, 27 Nov. Attendees must be passing all of their classes, have no disciplinary issues, and have turned in the Parent and 3d/4th period teacher permission slips that were handed out the prior two weeks of school. We can accept the district required permission slips until 0930 on Monday morning.

Additionally, parents and cadets are invited to join us on Pearl Harbor Day (Dec 7th) before school for a flag folding ceremony before school at the Flag Pole adjacent to the mini-cafeteria. Cadets may attend in uniform to support this event and earn community service credit. Parents are welcome to attend, honor, and remember those 2,403 servicemembers and civilians who were killed during the Dec 7, 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor.

Rising seniors interested in applying for AY2024-2025 (next year’s) Wing Commander or Wing Command Chief need to apply using the form on Teams by 30 Nov, 2023. Opportunities to apply for Senior Staff are coming in December and for next year’s command staff in January 2024.
