This Week In Military History – 9/20/1863 – In one of the bloodiest battles of the war, the Confederate Army of Tennessee drives the Union Army of the Cumberland back into Chattanooga, Tennessee, from Chickamauga Creek in northern Georgia.

All registration paperwork and sports physicals are now due. Please contact your cadet’s instructor if you are having trouble in getting the forms in.

Snap!Raise Fundraiser
The unit has participated in the Snap!Raise Fundraiser the last two years and have done very well. This has been the only fundraiser the unit has done and have raised over $24,000 for the unit.
An separate email will be sent out on Tuesday explaining the fundraiser and how parents and cadets can work together to have another excellent fundraiser.
The fundraiser will officially start on 4 October, Monday.
Please help your son or daughter get 20 contacts with email addresses that you know that will be glad to make a donation to the unit.
In addition, the unit will making a donation to a local food bank and cadets will receive service points for the donation.
UNIFORM INSPECTION
Upperclassmen only, uniform inspection on cadet respective day attending class on Tuesday and Wednesday. Block schedule is Wednesday. A/B days Tuesday & Wednesday.
Uniform Inspection: Upperclassmen, blues with open collar. 1st Years, Alternate uniform for those who have them. Unit Black Polo shirt, khaki pants, conservative belt, and closed toe shoes.
Spirit Week at ARHS. Cadets who wear the applicable Spirit Wear per the attached Spirit Week Dress can replace the wearing of the uniform for that particular uniform inspection.
Uniforms and Grooming Standards
1st year cadets are being issued cadet uniforms, summer PT clothing, & black polo shirts.
Upperclassmen who need uniform replacements are to have their uniform replaced are reminded to have their uniform dry cleaned with original plastic and paid receipt. Please set up an appointment with MSgt Powell, the Cadet Logistics Commander, or the Cadet Logistics Officer.
ABUs will be issued to qualified cadets.
All cadets are expected to comply with AFJROTC grooming standards.

Unit Family Night
29 September, Wednesday, Virtual at 6 PM on the Zoom Platform. A link will be provided in the next unit weekly email.
All parents are invited to attend the meeting.
Cadets are required to attend the meeting for an academic grade.
Booster Club will explain their function and to include how parents can get involved.
Flight Academy and Drone Academy program will be explained.
Cadet Wingman program will be explained.
Command Staff and Competition Teams Leadership will make a presentation.
Cadet Leadership Course (CLC) graduates will be announced and the program explained.
AFJROTC Instructors will explain various parts of the program.
This is also a great time for parents to ask questions.
