LAST WEEK EVENTS

  • A big thank you to all the Kitty Hawk cadets who supported athletic concessions last week.

  • A big thank you to all the cadets in the parking detail and band concessions at the home football game.

  • A big thank you to the color guard for presenting colors at the home football game.

COMPETITIONS

  • Cyber Team competed in Cyber Patriot Round 1 at The Citadel.

  • The Citadel Cyber Institute is providing facilities for the team and Cyber cadets for their mentors.

UPCOMING UNIT EVENTS A Busy Week

  • Kitty Hawk supporting Athletic Concessions Monday night

  • Cadet Lt. Colonel London Bernal briefing school board Monday night on Flight Academy.

  • Unit Flight Academy Cadets will begin taking the Air Qualification Test this week.

  • Recruiting Team visiting Oakbrook MS meeting 8th grade students discussing with students about the benefits of joining Air Force JROTC on Wednesday.

  • Home Football Game Friday with parking detail and color guard presenting colors

  • Experimental Aircraft Association will be giving orientation flights to unit Flight Academy cadets Saturday at Summerville Airport.

  • Cadet Volunteer Support with Maniac Obstacle Challenge on Saturday.

  • Stellar/Xplorer Competition Round 1 on Sunday.

UNIFORM INSPECTION

All 1st years and upperclassmen will wear service dress with tie/tie tab on Tuesday and Wednesday, 26 and 27 October.

SNAP!RAISER UNIT FUNDRAISER

  • As of this email, $105 left to reach $15,000. The unit goal is $25,000 with 11 days to go.

  • Parents, please help your cadet in achieving their goals of loading 20 valid emails in their SNAP!RAISE fundraising page and getting donations. Facebook and Instagram can also be used.

  • This will be the only fundraiser the unit will have this year.

  • Prizes will be given for top fundraisers at end of fundraiser.

  • Goal for Fundraiser is $25,000.

OPERATION GRATITUDE Extended to 27 October.

  • Active Duty & Veteran Thank You letter writing campaign led by ARHS cadets, ARHS Leadership and Student Council.

  • AFJROTC cadets and ARHS students will be writing letters to active duty troops and veterans thanking them for their service.

  • Cadets will receive community service points for their letters.
