Unit Weekly News for 18-24 Aug 2025

Greetings parents and guardians,

I’m sending out the weekly email a day early because I will be out of town Sunday through Tuesday.   Please note that Tuesday Aug 19th is ARHS Open House from 1830-2000, where you can meet with your student’s teachers.  MSgt Powell and MSgt Blake will be present to answer any JROTC questions. 

We are starting work this week for our annual fundraiser – SnapRaise, which kicks off Sep 3d.  The Air Force provides funding for all military uniforms and some operational requirements; however, the bulk of our program operates thanks to the generous support of parents and our community through SnapRaise.  Please support our cadets by helping them identify emails for friends, family members, church members, neighbors, and businesses who know our cadets.  There’s no obligation to donate, however we’ve found that people who know our cadets favor the opportunity to support our students through SnapRaise donations – over 80% of the funds donated are between $10-$30.   (Plus, 50% of funds raised by each cadet go directly to their spring field trip cost if they participate on the trip).

Please save the date for Wednesday, Sep 3 from 1800-1900 (6pm-7pm) for Parent/Family night, where Command Staff and Instructors will share information about the JROTC program, requirements, benefits, upcoming field trips and more.  Additionally, sign ups for the spring interstate field trip will open up at family night.

Thank you to everyone who filled out and signed the DD Form 3203 and AFJROTC Supplemental forms – we need those ASAP per AFJROTC HQ requirements.  Additionally, DD2 Sports Physicals and the DD2 Field Trip Permission Form are due by the end of August.
