Unit Weekly News for 7 - 13 Apr 2025

Greetings parents & guardians,

The weather was perfect yesterday for our cadets who tackled our annual 14 mile Bataan Memorial Death March at Ashley Ridge High School.  A special thank you to The Bialek’s for providing medical coverage, to Mrs Bausch for helping with our recharge station and to our boosters for providing healthy snacks and lunch.

Tomorrow is our major headquarters AFJROTC inspection.  ALL Cadets need to report directly to JROTC Monday morning in Service Dress uniform as soon as they arrive to school.  The unit mass inspection will be held 1st period.  Cadets will return to their normal daily schedule for 2d – 4th period while the remainder of our inspection occurs.  Please help by ensuring cadets arrive in uniform looking sharp and ready for inspection.  They have worked hard and done extremely well this year and deserve the opportunity to show their accomplishments to headquarters.

CLC (Cadet Leadership Course) registration paperwork has been handed out to cadets last week.  We need the completed packets back by the end of April along with the registration payment ($250 for Basic or $275 for Cadre).  There is a CLC parents information meeting on 22 April at 1800 (6pm) -- we will share drop off and pick up times and locations, review details about the course and we have two notaries available to help with the notary requirement for the Citadel medical form.
