CYBER TEAM GOING TO NATIONALS!!!!

  • Cyber Team has been selected to attend the Air Force Association CyberPatriot National Competition on April 9, 2022 in Bethesda, Maryland.

  • Only 13 teams in the Open Division and All Services Division out of over 1300 teams in the US, DODS schools, and US territories were selected to compete. This competition started in October 2021.

AIR RIFLE COMPETITION

  • Air Rifle placed 3rd in the Team Kneeling Event at Hanahan Army JROTC Air Rifle Meet on Saturday.

ROCKETRY TEAM

  • Rocketry Team competed in the Qualification Round 3 Air Force Association StellarXplorers Competition on Sunday.

  • The team has competed in two other Qualification rounds since October 2021 and has done very well.

  • The 3 qualification rounds will determine what teams will compete in the semi-finals held in February 2022.

UNIFORM INSPECTION

  • Uniform Inspection this week will be Blues with open collar

  • The issued blue lightweight coat will be worn for cold weather. Cadets are not allowed to wear civilian coats with their AFJROTC uniforms.

  • Inspection is Tuesday and Wednesday during their respective flights.

  • Reserve flight uniform inspection will be held on Wednesday in the mini-gym.

AFJROTC Hygiene Drive

  • 7-18 February 2022

  • Community service hours will be given on the number of products donated and the size of products.

AFJROTC Military Ball

  • The AFJROTC Military Ball will be held on 26 February 2022, Saturday at the Red Bank Club. The address is 2316 Red Bank Rd, Goose Creek, SC.

  • Hours for the ball are 6 PM-10:30 PM.

  • Attire

    • Cadets and reserve cadet males will wear the service coat with tie.

    • Females may wear the service coat with tie tab.

    • Females may also wear a long dress, but has to be approved by MSgt Powell.


  • The cost is $35 per person or $70 for two people. Cadets may pay by cash (exact amount, no change made) or check written out to AFJROTC Booster Club. All payments will be put be in unit payment envelopes located in each AFJROTC classroom and given directly to MSgt Powell.

  • 18 February, Friday is the last day payments will be accepted.

  • Cadets will report at 6 PM to check-in at the front lobby.

  • Cadets will be picked up promptly at 10:30 PM.

  • Water, tea, and lemonade will be provided. The dinner menu was selected by the cadet Military Ball Committee.

  • Sanitizer and masks will be provided. All cadets will be required to wear masks for the event.

  • Further information will be sent out.
